Yay! I'm happy people are liking the expressions so much. It makes me feel happy and victorious! Hazaa!
XP Yeah - I see what you mean. They do look rather stiff in the Ring-around-the-rosie dance. I guess that's something I'll have to practice at. Have any tips? I know there's the 'layers and lines' technique thingy . . . but what do you do to convey motion?
Thanks again for the comment and the advice!

Sank you, mon ami! I'm glad people are liking the expressions! They're probably my favorite part of doing people and . . . =3 little creatures with expressions.
Thank you so much, my friend! It has been much too long.

Well when I'm working with motion in a still picture, I try to see what I would do first. Example, if my characters are running, I will run myself. It's to get the feeling of the motion, and see where my arms and legs are positioned during that movement, and how.
Then I find a way to exaggerate that, I may make one character stick out their chest more then usual, or make one fumble over itself. Sounds weird, but it works for me.
Anyway! What you need here are looser- exaggerated- but practical positions. What I mean by looser positions, are just simple well constructed "movement"-like positions. It's all about how the characters are positioned, and constructed. Then if that doesn't help completely you should add "motion lines" as much as they are annoying, they are useful.
I suggest you look around John K.'s blog, to find it just look up John K. in Google or something. When you're there search up "construction", "loose" and then look up "movement" all separately in his blog. Read what you think looks useful. After all he's the boss, I'm just a lacky in training like the rest of the readers.
And you're very welcome. Sorry if I confused you or anything. Art is a constant learning experience, and I'm no further in the game then you are.
